A Rare Political Digression

This is a sketch of Ann Coulter, cunningly disguised as the Joker (as played by Heath Ledger).

I make no editorial comment.

I'd call the series 'ad nauseam' but it's too early in the morning. Great blog, found the link at Counterpunch.

I admired your drawing and was about to make a comment to that effect when I chanced to see the other remarks...

Quite horrible.

Nevermind.

I genuinely think that the drawing is flattering; Coulter is the most hideously ugly woman on TV, while the woman in the drawing is ugly, but not nauseous. Great effort though.

I just removed a couple of posts containing VULGAR LANGUAGE. First time I've ever done that, but this here is a family blog.

I must be getting old.

Thanks.
I really like your drawing of Ann Coulter. Your style reminds me of the Weimar Republic and its cynical artists.
The portrait harkens back to Otto Dix and his Portrait of the Journalist Sylvia von Harden, 1926.

Perhaps these are similar times. Broke & spoiling for a fight, Germany became awash with porn, violence & drugs.
Artists are so much more eloquent than the mass media. Bravo!

This portrait is much too flattering to Ann. And she doesn't use pencils, preferring instead to scream-dictate her columns to an intern while drinking an early morning librium-spiked blush.
